How can I control my constant underarm sweating?
Every day when I go to school it doesn’t take long for my arm pits to soak my shirt. It’s really gross and I hate the feeling. I get really embarrassed and end up having to go the entire rest of the day with my arms glued to my side. It doesn’t smell bad or anything, it is just totally unappealing and I’m just too concentrated on my sweating and being scared people will see, to concentrate on anything else. What can I do?????
Hyperhidrosis (over sweating) is a annoying, I know.
Here’s some of the stuff I used to do to stay dry:
1. Drysol is aluminum chloride hexahydrate and when put to use in the underarms works to block the sweat glands and plug the pores. It is a prescription medication and should only be utilized with a doctor’s guidance.
2. Try wearing a ordinary, white, 100% cotton t-shirt underneath your normal shirts. This will be your first line of defense against sweat puddles forming on your outer shirt. Also, the white t-shirts are easy to bleach/oxy-clean the stains away.
3. Recall that if it happens to be your feet that are sweating excessively, try taking one more pair of shoes and socks with you in the morning. Change both about halfway through your day. While it won’t eliminate the sweating it will keep your feet dry.
4. Make sure you shower regularly. This will help to minimize effects of over-sweating. By showering as needed you can eliminate as much of the bacteria that causes body odor. If you do sweat while you’re clean you won’t smell as much as sweating when you’re unclean.
a. Try anti-bacterial soaps to kill additional bacteria while you shower.
5. Drink plenty of water. It both dilutes the concentration of your bodily effluents and it cleanses the entire system.
6. Check the weather forecast each day and dress appropriately.
7.Invest in a small fan to keep in your working area. You may sweat less because it is cooler and the air circulation will help perspiration to evaporate quicker.
8. Watch your weight. Heavier people have a harder time cooling themselves and may sweat more. Try getting to a healthy weight and your perspiration issues may solve themselves.

I have that problem too!

but degree deo works really well!
just avoid bright colored tight shirts!
i feel so bad for us! :p hahaha
hope i helped!
The two products that people use are deoderant and anti-perspirent. You need an anti-perspirent. The former controls odor, the latter controls perspiring.
I have that problem too!
Just use clinical deodorant and its sold over the counter.
Just apply it before you go to bed and a regular deodorant in the morning and you’ll be fine all day
I used to have the same problem. I asked my doctor about it, and she recommended Drysol, which has worked great for me. It does have high levels of aluminum though, so she told me not to use it too much because there’s a risk (but not proven) that aluminum can increase dementia.
Basically, you put it on your clean and completely dry underarms before bed, and wash it off in the morning. It seems to have things under control for me, and now I only use it about every 3-4 months, and it keeps away such wetness. It can sting a bit when you have it on, and that’s definitely worse if you’ve just shaved, so don’t use it on broken skin. This product literally has changed my life. I used to sweat through a t-shirt and sweatshirt just sitting in class too. Now I don’t have to worry.
I can buy it behind the counter at the drugstore in Canada (no prescription needed, but you have to ask for it). I don’t know if you need a prescription in other countries.
I have that problem too. The clinical term for it is hyperhydrosis. It is most common in the armpits and on the palms of your hands. Other than using an antiperspirant, there is also a clinical deodourant you can get called drysol but it is annoying to apply [you put it on at bedtime, and wash it off in the morning] and it can sting your armpits if you have recently shaved.
Another option is to talk to your doctor about botox injections, they are costly but one session of injections can leave you sweat free for about 6 months. The more often you get the injections, the less likely you are to sweat.
If that doesnt work, there is a surgery that is relatively new in the treatment for hyperhydrosis, it is called a sympathectomy. This is major surgery and has many risk factors and should be discussed with a doctor, but those are just ideas from my own person experience. I had the surgery December 08 and did experience a side effect [my lung collapsed] but after the surgery I no longer sweater from my armpits or hands..
I hope this helps.. and dont worry you are not alone!!
