Why do my armpits sweat more when I wear cotton t-shirts?
It seems that even with deordorant I sweat tons more when wearing cotton t-shirts. Does cotton absorb more? How can I reduce the amount I perspire?

Cotton actually keeps the sweat closer to the skin.
There are numerous materials which pull sweat away from the skin so it evaporates. Cool-max works better and is just ONE of the many other fibers besides a "pure"100% Cotton shirt or socks.

use anti-persperant deodrant
Cotton should allow more airflow than a synthetic. So I wouldn’t think that you’d sweat as much when wearing cotton.
I don’t know why you sweat but I can tell you a good way to reduce the amount you sweat. Go to a chemist and buy this product Driclor, it is a really strong anti-perspirant that works by forming a gel matrix around the sweat glands, you apply it at night and wash off in the morning and use your normal anti-perspirant during the day. A word of warning though, it says to apply every night for 2 weeks, but I found that it burnt my skin when I did that so I use it once a week and it stops me sweating, it has changed my life, I used to have to wear 3 layers of clothes and carry spare clothes with me so I could change if I got too wet, now I can wear whatever I like.
