Why would a 53 yr. old man have profuse sweating?
My husband is tired all the time and has profuse sweating just like hot flashes. The doctors have not found the cause. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

Could be high blood preasure. But I would think the Doctor would have figured that out. Also my husband did that once and it was the medication he was on. Hope any of this helped. Good Luck!
Ummmm, is he fat?
Did they run all the normal tests for his heart to rule that out?
Some people have overly active sweat glands but seems to me it would have been all his life. If it just started I’d be concerned & get a second opinion if you’re not satisfied with the first one.

sometimes if you have high blood pressure and retain a lot of water because of deconditioning the body will naturally try to get rid of the excess fluid in the body. If that were to be the case diuretics help to lower the fluid and the bp. Exercise and losing some weight will help lower fluid in body as well and the body reconditions itself.
Has he had it a long time? or is it just a recent thing? Soome people have overactive sweat glands. A prescription for aluminum chloride applied under the arms every night helps to relieve sweating if that is a long term problem.
